Work Schedule: Onsite- Washington DC Metro Area, Full Time

We are looking for an AV Support Technician to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain AV systems for clients and end-users. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AV troubleshooting and customer support.

Key Responsibilities
 • Provide on-site and remote technical support for AV systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with system installations, configurations, and routine maintenance.
• Work closely with clients and end-users to ensure system functionality.
• Maintain records of support requests, resolutions, and service reports.
• Stay updated on AV technologies and best practices.
• Must use their own vehicle or mode of transportation for travel to assigned locations.
• This position is full-time to support the same customer; however, if support is needed for another customer, travel expenses will be reimbursed. 

Key Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in AV troubleshooting and technical support.
• Familiarity with AV control systems, video conferencing, and networking.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve AV issues efficiently.

Technical Skills
• Proficiency in troubleshooting AV systems, including diagnosing and resolving common issues under tight deadlines, especially during live events.
• Ability to follow installation and system configuration procedures, working under the direction of senior engineers to deliver high-quality AV experiences.
• Documentation skills to accurately track system configurations, maintenance schedules, and equipment logs.

Soft Skills
• Strong desire to continuously learn and grow in the AV field, with a focus on up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide guidance to staff during event preparation and execution.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in high-pressure situations such as live events.
• Attention to detail in system setup, configuration, and operation, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Adaptability to handle a variety of tasks and manage multiple priorities, particularly in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Certifications
• Preferred certifications: Avixa Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).
• Demonstrated interest in professional development, with a proactive approach to acquiring new certifications and staying current on industry advancements.
• Experience managing components of larger projects, including coordination with cross-functional teams and adherence to project timelines.
