The Senior Manager, Athlete Communications is responsible for proactively leading all aspects of communications and content development in the field of Athletes. They are responsible to grow the brand image and brand attribution by inspiring and engaging both new and existing consumers, more often, and for longer with differentiated, authentic, and ownable content linked to our athlete marketing assets. This person is responsible for providing media and content expertise to complement and evolve the marketing mix in partnership with the Athlete Marketing Department with the aim to give wiiings with our content and stories to our consumers.
Job Description
COMMUNICATIONS
Elevate the awareness and relevance of Red Bull athletes amongst young, diverse, U.S. consumers via comprehensive 360 athlete communications campaigns.
Translate athlete marketing initiatives into relevant media products - identify always on content and storytelling opportunities in close collaboration with athlete marketing.
Identify and develop new story angles for existing projects, playgrounds, and recurring content opportunities relating to athletes. Create ownable content formats and IP across all sports that deliver reach and engagement that make people talk about Red Bull favorably.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Establish key media partners, intensified relations, third party validation, and creators to bring athlete stories even closer to the consumers.
Work directly with athletes to develop media training, storytelling, content creation, and other programs in order to help them grow their own channels and audience.
Defines, leads, and represents the holistic Media Network strategy for athletes.
Serve as the main point of contact for the local markets for all athlete and media-related matters, aligning and collaborating on a constant basis to uplevel the media and content competency around athletes in the regions.

Qualifications
7+ years' experience in media heavy markets working in athlete, sport, and/or entertainment industries
Strong understanding of broad media landscape (consumption habits, platform and publisher trends) and sports/entertainment industry (media rights, athlete contracts). Storytelling skills and knowledge of digital, social, TV content creation and activation.
Experience in working with athletes and personalities in direct collaboration from previous jobs e.g. at sports industry companies, sport sponsors, PR, marketing or management agencies.
Knowledge of audience analytics, audience development, and the ability to understand and learn from sensibly use data
Strong presentation, communication (verbal & written), organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work cross-functionally across departments and in a highly matrixed organization
Confident, self-starting problem-solver, who is also a team player
Sports enthusiast
Additional Information
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $115,280 - $172,920 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
