Kitchen & Bath Designer

The client, a premier Canadian custom cabinet manufacturer, is proud to announce the opening of our new flagship showroom in the heart of Georgetown. Known for delivering meticulously crafted custom cabinetry, we aim to inspire and expand the creative boundaries of the design industry. As part of our vision to grow into the U.S. market, beginning with the Washington DMV area, we seek a talented Kitchen Designer to join our team.

As a Kitchen Designer, you will blend technical expertise with creativity to create functional and beautiful living spaces. You will be the face of Ateliers Jacob, delivering exceptional customer service, managing projects with care, and driving sales while representing the company's values.

Responsibilities

Client-Centered Collaboration:

  • Conduct client meetings to assess needs and guide material/product choices.

  • Provide clear and professional communication throughout the project journey.

  • Resolve issues with creativity and resourcefulness, offering alternative solutions when needed.

Design Excellence:

  • Develop and refine design concepts using tools such as SketchUp.

  • Incorporate client feedback to ensure alignment with their vision.

Project Management:

  • Prepare accurate quotes and material lists using company tools.

  • Adjust designs and budgets based on job site measurements.

Sales Leadership:

  • Apply AJ's sales philosophy to build trust and effectively present solutions.

  • Maintain relationships through follow-ups and ongoing client engagement.

Qualifications:

  • College or technical diploma in Interior Design (preferred).

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Kitchen Designer or Design Assistant.

  • Proficiency in SketchUp or similar design software.

  • Basic knowledge of Google Workspace (e.g., Google Sheets).
