The SMA provides networking opportunities through its national conference, Student Assembly, Health Justice Fellowship program, and Health Workforce Diversity Tracker project.Position Specific Summary Project Portfolio:Social Mission Alliance Resource LibrarySocial Mission Alliance Communications and OutreachJob Duties:Social media support: development of visual assets for social media, re-sharing partner content on platforms.Resource library maintenance: help maintain the SMA digital social mission resource library by finding new research to add and reviewing submissions from users.Advocacy newsletter: alongside the SMA communications team and SMA advocacy lead, curate monthly newsletters detailing state and federal policies related to health professions education, health workforce, and health equity.Basic website additions for Social Mission Alliance and related programsSocial Mission Champion Spotlights: assist in reaching out to organizations and highlighting champions for the SMA champion spotlight series.General administrative and programmatic support of the SMA Communications Lead and SMA Director.Performing other related duties as assigned. Standard Position Description The student will manage and/or design marketing and communication strategies and content for departments and/or special events. Tasks may include: Planning, creating, managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, website resources, digital content and design, and/or managing of social media accounts. While completing work with a high degree of discretion, the student will work within organization marketing standards and guidelines.
