Position Summary... The Sr. Manager of Brand Strategy will help build and implement the vision for the Walmart brand. Their goal is to develop strategies and briefs, in collaboration with multiple external agencies and internal partners, that help us drive the brand forward into new spaces and places, helping customers see us as a modern retailer and build long-lasting emotional connections. You’ll work closely and report to the Director of Brand Strategy & Marketing, developing strategies that pull down from Walmart’s purpose of “Save Money, Live Better,” working to drive bold actions and recommendations for the most senior leaders in the organization, including the CMO, SVP Marketing, and VP Creative.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Development and execution of high-impact, culture-forward advertising and experiences for Walmart’s marketing – including writing sharp creative briefs, providing sound and thoughtful feedback, and managing the go to market delivery. Partner with our Design & Creative stakeholders to implement the brand across the enterprise, including visual identity. Collaborate with internal stakeholders that have a shared stake in the Walmart brand including, the Associate team and Corporate Affairs. Collaborate with external and internal creative partners to drive the strategies and programs forward. Develop new brand strategies, actions, and recommendations for how customers can see, feel and believe Walmart is a brand for them. You’ll sweep us off our feet if… You have built and implemented all kinds of ‘brand strategies’: advertising, brand and/or product architecture, comms, branding, internal culture, purpose, mission/vision/values, experiences, and innovation. You are KILLER at writing creative briefs and presentations: You think strategically and deliver creatively. You are a culturally curious trend spotter with a deep interest in culture and a pulse on worldwide events and trends. You are a storyteller and can sell internally, evangelizing ideas to bring them to life across different business functions. You are highly collaborative and engaging others energizes you. You are a self-starter – you get things done, big or small. You’ll make an impact by: Support highly visible strategic initiatives important to C-level leaders at Walmart. Drive new ways of thinking about culture and our role in it. Main leader of our go-to-market conversations and day-to-day decision maker across campaigns, tactics, and executions. Expertise in developing all levels of strategy – brand narratives, go-to-market, campaign briefs - grounded in research and insight. Build relationships with stakeholders to create cross-functional efforts that deliver for the brand, the business, and the customer. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years' experience in marketing or related field. Preferred Qualifications... Leading cross-functional projects, Marketing or related field, Supervisory experience, Masters: Business Administration.
