The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the growth, engagement, and overall health of Boy Smells’ owned social channels, as well as identifying and developing a presence on new and emerging platforms. You’ll ensure that social media efforts align with our brand mission—offering inclusive, high-quality scents and body care—and ladder back to our broader 360° marketing objectives.

Position Overview The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the growth, engagement, and overall health of Boy Smells’ owned social channels, as well as identifying and developing a presence on new and emerging platforms. You’ll ensure that social media efforts align with our brand mission—offering inclusive, high-quality scents and body care—and ladder back to our broader 360° marketing objectives. Key Responsibilities
Drive Strategy and Growth Develop and execute the brand’s social media strategy across existing and emerging platforms to increase reach, positive sentiment, and audience engagement. Set, track, and report on KPI targets for all channels to ensure sustainable growth. Content & Campaign Development Create comprehensive social content strategies for brand campaigns, always-on initiatives, and ad-hoc moments—ensuring they connect back to overall marketing plans. Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling in-house content that embodies Boy Smells’ brand values and sparks genuine conversation. Storytelling & Commerce Balance Craft a compelling narrative that celebrates Boy Smells’ inclusive approach to fragrance while also driving conversion. Seamlessly blend brand storytelling with product-centric content to keep social channels fresh, engaging, and impactful. Ability to blend the brand voice and tone with culturally relevant content. Data-Driven Insights Produce regular, actionable performance reports and insights, and recommend adjustments to optimize social media campaigns. Oversee analytic tools and leverage data to refine strategies in real time. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with digital growth and acquisition marketing teams to sync paid and organic social efforts for maximum reach and ROI. Partner with the broader marketing, product, and creative teams to ensure consistency in brand messaging and aesthetic. Trend & Culture Monitoring Stay on top of social trends, cultural moments, and new platforms—anticipating shifts in consumer behavior and integrating them into the brand’s social strategy. 5-7+ years of experience leading social media strategies with a proven track record of measurable success. Experience in lifestyle, fragrance, beauty, or related consumer goods industries. Proficiency in social analytics tools and familiarity with CapCut and video editing tools. Strong conceptual thinking, communication, and project management skills. Exceptional eye for photography, visual design, trending content, and brand aesthetics. Highly organized, able to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to create cohesive on-brand campaigns that elevate brand values.
