About the Role

We are seeking a Set Designer / Art Director with a strong sales focus to join our team. This hybrid role blends creative vision with client engagement, project management, and sales strategy. You will be responsible for designing and conceptualizing immersive environments while also working closely with clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, and drive revenue growth.

This position requires a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly transition between creative design, production oversight, and client relations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the creative process from concept to execution, ensuring projects meet both client expectations and internal standards.
  2. Work closely with sales and project management teams to pitch design concepts and close deals.
  3. Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to bring designs to life efficiently and cost-effectively.
  4. Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a seamless experience from initial concept through final installation.
  5. Oversee budgets, schedules, and milestones, ensuring projects stay on track and within financial parameters.
  6. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build business and stay informed on emerging trends and technologies.

What You Bring to the Table

  1. Sales Acumen – Experience in client-facing roles, pitching concepts, and closing deals.
  2. Technical Expertise – Proficiency in CAD, DWG, DXF, and other relevant design software.
  3. Project Management Skills – Ability to track budgets, schedules, and cross-functional collaboration.
  4. Relationship-Driven Mindset – Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with both clients and internal teams.
  5. Adaptability & Initiative – A self-starter with a problem-solving mentality and a willingness to take ownership.
  6. Industry Knowledge – Familiarity with set construction, materials, and fabrication processes.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Set Design, Art Direction, Theatrical Design, or a related field, OR equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 3+ years of experience in set design, experiential design, or production design, with a focus on client interactions and sales.
  3. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and construction documents.
