WHAT YOU’LL DO

  1. The Design Associate is responsible for assisting homeowners during their preview visits, maintaining the Design Studio showroom in Southfield, Michigan, and supporting the Design Team.

The basics

  1. Perform quality, detail work overviewed by the Design Studio Manager and Design Consultant.
  2. Interact enthusiastically and professionally with other employees and homeowners.
  3. Work effectively in a team.
  4. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communication and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

The nitty-gritty stuff

  1. Email all clients at the time of reservation to introduce them to the Design Studio.
  2. Manage paperwork, worksheets, POS, floor breaks, and electrical drawings to support the Design Consultants.
  3. Prep worksheets for preview appointments.
  4. Host homeowners during their preview visits, assisting with questions and pricing.
  5. Assist in data entry of options at selections.
  6. Accurate and timely maintenance/ownership of all paperwork and assignments.
  7. Showroom maintenance per design center standards, including updating displays and labeling items.
  8. Assist the Design Studio Manager with managing the current option offering.
  9. Spec selections, submitting RCO and data entry in our internal system, overseen by Design Consultant.
  10. Assist in maintaining selection files & DSM with updates on current offerings for appointments and customers' USB drives.

WHAT YOU NEED

  1. High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred.
  2. 1-2 years in builder design center or real estate sales helpful.
  3. Excellent selling, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Creative and proactive.
  6. Professional level of organization.
  7. Computer software skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Dropbox); Ability to learn other programs as needed.
