About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Marketing Manager (GMM) within the Embolization franchise of Interventional Oncology. The GMM of Downstream Marketing will lead our efforts in building and developing a high-performance best-in-class marketing team to support our highest growth segment. This role involves creating and executing a comprehensive commercialization and market development strategy for a new product category within an existing market, as well as delivering on our global expansion plans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product launches, people leadership, and downstream marketing within the medical device industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product managers and marketing professionals. Successfully empower a team of marketing product managers to achieve excellent performance in downstream marketing activities and product management.
- Strategy Development: Lead a team of Product Managers to develop and implement a comprehensive commercialization and market development strategy for a new product category for Obsidio, while continuing to drive double-digit growth to establish category leadership globally with our Embold product Family.
- Product Launch: Guide a team of product managers for the planning and execution of global product launches, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, and regulatory affairs, to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
- Performance Metrics: Develop annual and long-term objectives for direct reports. Measure performance of direct reports against success criteria and provide feedback and coaching.
- Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively to maximize ROI and achieve business goals.
- Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), and industry stakeholders.
Required qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of downstream marketing experience within the medical device industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Product Launch: Demonstrated success in planning and executing global product launches.
- New Category Development: Proven track record supporting the creation of new product categories of disruptive technologies within an existing market.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to anticipate and scenario plan.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends, conversion into key business decisions.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, leading with influence.
- Travel: Ability to travel approximately 25-50% of the time.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Masters/MBA) preferred.
- High growth medical device marketing experience.
- Experience planning and managing product launches.
- An individual that is highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset.
- Exceptionally strong collaboration and leadership skills.
