Vice President of Marketing Job Description

Role and Responsibilities
Overview

The Vice President of Marketing is a senior executive responsible for overseeing and guiding the overall marketing strategy and efforts of an organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior in terms of a global B2B brand and, ideally, emerging CPG brands as well. The Vice President of Marketing collaborates closely with other executives, specifically our sales team, and our other Division Chefs to ensure that marketing initiatives align with the company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the company's products and services.
  • Set marketing goals and objectives in alignment with the company's overall strategic plan.
Leadership and Management
  • Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and excellence.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of marketing staff.
Brand Management
  • Maintain and enhance the company's brand image and reputation.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Develop and implement brand positioning strategies to differentiate the company in the market.
Marketing Campaigns
  • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns to measure their effectiveness and ROI.
  • Adjust and optimize marketing strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
Budget Management
  • Optimize the current budget for the next - and ongoing - fiscal years to align with company goals and desired outcomes and manage the marketing budget to that end, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure that marketing activities are cost-effective.
  • Provide regular reports on budget performance to senior management.
Market Research
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantage. Work with 3rd party market research companies to provide our culinary and sales teams specific data driven insight into what products consumers are buying to guide our R&D process
  • Stay updated on the latest marketing tools and technologies to enhance marketing efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Experience
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably as a Vice President of Marketing or similar position.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing marketing strategies across various channels.
  • Strong background in brand management, digital marketing, and market research.
  • This is not a remote position.
