Technical Writer Job at BrickRed Systems in Beaverton

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team in a hybrid role (on-site Monday–Thursday, work from home on Fridays). The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of technical writing experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and expertise in Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe tools. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• 2–6 years of experience (Preference given to candidates with closer to 4 years).
• A degree is not required, but hands-on technical writing experience is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, manage, and maintain technical knowledge assets to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and structure technical documentation.
• Build and maintain a document library in SharePoint Online for easy accessibility and organization.
• Assess and improve existing knowledge assets for better usability and accessibility.
• Develop knowledge asset templates to enhance content discoverability and standardization.
• Transition and update existing documentation to a new library in coordination with a global team.
• Contribute to governance policy development and implementation for website and knowledge asset management.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience working with knowledge assets and integrating them into the user experience.
• Strong organizational skills in arranging and structuring documentation.
• Experience in governance processes for knowledge management.
• Proficiency in Adobe tools and Microsoft SharePoint for documentation management.
• Soft skills: Collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to influence stakeholders.
