The Senior Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for leading All For Kids' internal and external marketing and communications strategies. This includes managing the agency's brand identity, websites, social media platforms, online and print marketing tools, media relations, and advertising efforts. The role is pivotal in shaping messaging that supports All For Kids' purpose: creating a world where every child is safe to grow. The Senior Director will drive brand awareness, engage key audiences, and report on marketing effectiveness. Collaboration with volunteer leaders, team members, corporate partners, and media is essential to achieving strategic goals.

Foster a culture that embraces these principles through inclusive campaigns and engaging brand strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategy & Implementation

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with All For Kids' brand and organizational goals. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including team members, board leadership, and community partners. Brand Management

Oversee brand identity elements, including messaging, visual assets, and consistent application across all platforms. Develop innovative materials such as annual reports, fact sheets, digital marketing collateral, and other tools to effectively engage target audiences. Digital & Social Media

Manage the All For Kids website and related digital properties, ensuring accurate, engaging, and timely updates. Oversee creation and management of website's online forms to streamline processes and enhance user experience. Respond to and manage all general website inquiries to maintain effective communication with external audiences. Lead social media campaigns across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube) to foster engagement and community-building. Advertising

Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns across digital, outdoor, and print platforms to amplify awareness and drive engagement. Ensure advertising efforts align with All For Kids' brand guidelines and organizational goals. Monitor and optimize advertising performance to maximize return on investment. Media Relations

Cultivate relationships with media outlets and influencers to promote the mission and programs of All For Kids. Oversee coordination of interviews, press releases, media tours, and speaking engagements. Administrative Tasks

Maintain organized records of marketing materials, project timelines, and campaign data. Manage the department's budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Process business card orders and other general requests to support staff needs. Content Development

Oversee content creation that highlights the organization's focus on Positive Prevention, compassion, and innovation to inspire community engagement and donor trust. Craft key external communications for the President & CEO, including speeches, letters, and thought leadership pieces. Crisis Communications

Lead crisis communication efforts with senior management and external consultants to protect All For Kids' reputation. Leadership & Training

Mentor and supervise marketing team members, cultivating a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented culture. Partner with the Marketing & Communications Board Committee Chair to develop and deliver impactful presentations for Board of Directors' meetings. Engage and support volunteer Marketing & Communications Committee members, including directors, trustees, and community leaders. Design and implement training tools and resources to equip team members and volunteer leaders with the skills to effectively represent and champion the brand. Metrics & Reporting

Create metrics-driven reports for staff and volunteer leadership to assess campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies. Photography & Videography

Oversee photo and video production to enhance storytelling efforts, leveraging visual assets to engage audiences and drive campaign success. Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly oversees the Marketing Manager and Communications Specialist, providing guidance, support, and performance management. Indirectly supervises the Marketing Specialist, ensuring alignment with the overall marketing and communications strategy. Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or related field 8-10+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, social media management, or related fields, preferably within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization of similar scale Proven leadership experience managing teams and overseeing large-scale, multi-channel marketing campaigns Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience tailoring content for diverse audiences Expertise in nonprofit branding, donor communications, and community engagement Advanced knowledge of website development and maintenance, including SEO and responsive design Financial planning experience, including managing budgets for a marketing/communications department Advanced skills in project management, campaign implementation, and metrics-driven reporting Knowledge of graphic design principles and tools for creating visually engaging materials Proficiency in photography and videography for content creation and storytelling Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Creative, adaptable, and results-oriented with a strong collaborative mindset Familiarity with tools for digital marketing (Hootsuite, Meltwater, Constant Contact, Canva Pro), analytics (Google Analytics), project management (Trello, Basecamp), content creation and management (Formstack, PhotoShelter), and general office applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
