Our store offers an elevated shopping experience, where we combine luxurious design with expert craftsmanship. We are looking for an experienced and talented Visual Designer with a passion for home design to join our team and help showcase our products in a way that inspires and delights our customers. We are hoping to find an individual with proven experience as a manager and also as a creative talent.

Position Overview:
As a Visual Designer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing visual displays that effectively represent our brand, enhance the customer experience, and drive sales. You will work closely with the store team to create visually stunning and strategically planned merchandising displays, ensuring our store looks inviting and maintains a premium aesthetic. A deep understanding of visual merchandising principles, paired with creativity and attention to detail, will be key to your success in this role. Organizational skills are essential to devise and execute rotating product displays throughout the store. Previous management experience is required, as you will be leading a small team. Some travel will be necessary to attend seasonal markets with our Buying Team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute visually compelling store displays that reflect our brand's high-end, luxurious style and align with current trends in home design and furniture.
2. Manage the layout of furniture, home accents, and decor to maximize visual appeal, customer flow, and sales.
3. Collaborate with the team to design entry displays, in-store arrangements, and seasonal installations that showcase the latest collections and create an immersive shopping experience.
4. Ensure that visual displays are consistent with the store's overall design aesthetic and brand messaging.
5. Coordinate window displays with the store visuals to capture interest and to highlight seasonal collections.
6. Plan and implement changes to displays in response to sales trends, new product arrivals, or seasonal changes.
7. Maintain and manage the store's visual merchandising standards, ensuring product displays are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
8. Provide design insights to the store team and contribute to store planning and overall design strategy.
9. Lead a small Visuals Team to accomplish shared goals and to meet scheduled deadlines.
10. Attend seasonal markets with owner and contribute to product selection for the store. Some travel required.
11. Work closely with management to implement promotional and event-based displays, ensuring high visibility and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in visual merchandising is required and experience in high-end retail or home design merchandising is preferred.
2. A strong portfolio showcasing previous work experience in home design, furniture, or luxury retail is a plus.
3. Proven ability to create innovative and impactful visual displays that engage customers and drive sales.
4. Knowledge of interior design principles and trends, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with other team members.
6. Ability to think creatively while balancing practicality and business goals.
7. A proactive attitude with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
8. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and store requirements.
9. Knowledge of design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and tools for creating visual concepts is a plus.

Interview Process:
Qualified candidates may be asked to participate in a paid trial shift lasting 4-8 hours. During this time, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your visual merchandising skills and collaborate with the team on a live project.
