Purpose: To provide current and recently graduated college and/or elite gymnasts the opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Photography, Videography, Editorial Writing, and Broadcast/Radio Commentary.

Requirements: Gymnastics athletes currently enrolled in college or graduated within the last 18 months, or elite athletes transitioning out of the elite level in any discipline. Must be competing in one of the following gymnastics programs: NCAA, GymACT, NAIGC, or be currently or recently active in a USA Gymnastics Acro, T&T, Parkour or Rhythmic club program. Show an interest and experience in one of the following areas: Photography, Videography, Editorial Writing, and/or Commentary. Athletes may use creative content on their own social channels and will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with USA Gymnastics, who will retain rights to usage.

The USAG Creator Program will provide an event and project-based intern-type experience to athletes selected to the program. Creators who are selected for events will be issued a USA Gymnastics credential during the 2025 calendar year. Credentials are non-transferable and will allow Creators access to the competition floor, stands, media tribune and mixed zone when applicable. Creators are responsible for following all USAG and Media restrictions and SafeSport requirements and are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.

2025 Events:

  • February 21 – 23: Winter Cup, Louisville, Kentucky
  • June 16 – 24: USA Gymnastics Championships, Providence, Rhode Island
  • August 5 – 11: U.S. Championships, New Orleans (dates subject to change)

Photography – Are you a sports photographer who loves to capture the beauty of gymnastics? Gain unparalleled access as you photograph an elite gymnastics meet from the arena floor with the likes of photographers from Getty, AP and endemic media outlets. See the sport from a new point of view all the way from Podium Training to the Medal Podium. Collaborate with USAG social media accounts and promote your work to more than 3M+ followers across all channels.

Videography – Do you have a knack for creating Instagram Reels or TikTok videos? Here’s your opportunity to film the floor – from Podium Training all the way to the Medal Podium – and edit exciting videos from your footage. Show off your skills at a USA Gymnastics elite-level meet and work collaboratively with USAG social media accounts, promoting your work to more than 3M+ followers across all channels.

Editorial Writing – Are you an aspiring writer interested in covering gymnastics events and the athletes competing? Whether you’re just starting out with a personal blog or have been writing for publications, here’s your chance to cover elite-level gymnastics events from the press tribune and media mixed zone. Writers will have the opportunity to interview athletes before and after the competitions and have their work published on the USA Gymnastics website, with their byline posted on USAG social channels.

Commentary – Do you aspire to be a sports commentator and have a knowledge of the technical side of gymnastics as well as the back stories of elite athletes? Join the USAG commentary crew during the domestic season and provide color commentary for individual routines and elite events, providing the unique perspective of a contemporary athlete. Opportunity to be featured on the live USA Gymnastics YouTube stream during competitions and have clips reshared to USAG social media channels.

The Fine Print:

Creators must be one of the following:

  • Currently enrolled in college and competing in MAG, WAG or the NCATA in any of the following levels: NCAA, GymACT, NAIGC
  • Currently enrolled in college and active in a USA Gymnastics Acro, T&T, Parkour or Rhythmic club program
  • Graduated from college within the last 18 months (May 2023 or later) and have competed collegiately in MAG, WAG or the NCATA in any of the following levels: NCAA, GymACT, NAIGC
  • Graduated from college within the last 18 months (May 2023 or later) and currently active in a USA Gymnastics Acro, T&T, Parkour or Rhythmic club program
  • Elite athletes in any discipline who have transitioned out of the elite level within the last 18 months (May 2023 or later)

This is an unpaid opportunity, creators are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.
