Title: Children’s & Youth Services Librarian

Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Children’s & Youth Services Librarian (CYS) oversees and manages the Children’s Department’s daily operations.

This position involves developing, planning, and coordinating services and programs for children and young adults at the Laurens County Library. The CYS Librarian assists branch libraries with similar tasks when requested by the Regional Director. Additionally, the CYS Librarian collaborates with the Director and other Department Heads to ensure that a Department Head is present and on duty each day. They also work with the leadership team to address patron concerns and building maintenance issues as needed.
