Job Description

The Zimmerman Agency is seeking an entry-level Social Media Coordinator to support the Director, Strategists, and Social Content Managers across multiple social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest & YouTube) for various clients. This person is responsible for publishing daily content, responding to audiences in real time, assisting in the production of social content (images, videos, copy), and collaborating with integrated teams to support business goals and drive social initiatives.

The Day to Day:

  • Manage day-to-day publishing across client social media channels.
  • Take ownership of daily community management across platforms.
  • Assist in writing and editing copy for monthly social content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build out the social content calendar and brainstorm monthly content ideas to match overarching campaigns/strategies.
  • Monitor, curate, and manage outreach of user-generated content for online galleries and social content.
  • Assist with developing monthly and campaign reports.
  • Work with Manager to identify influencers and measure activation results.
  • Research industry trends, emerging social channels, and best practices.
  • Research and report on competitors and industry leaders in the social media space.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate user of digital technologies and social media.
  • Background in social media at a brand or agency (1 year preferred).
  • Strong writing skills and proficiency in editing with top-notch grammar skills.
  • Smart, driven, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • General understanding of social media metrics and reporting.
  • Background in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.
  • Creative eye for visual and written content.
  • High attention to detail & quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using social media management tools.
  • Desire to work in a fun, dynamic workspace with talented coworkers.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with social CRM programs (e.g., Sprout Social, Netbase, Falcon.IO).
  • Photo and video skills (shooting and editing).
  • Interest in Influencer Marketing and eagerness to learn more.
  • Desire to grow as a professional in the marketing world.
