About the Opportunity:
GSG is seeking a Mid-level Experience Designer to join our client’s Structured Finance Group design team. In this role, you’ll take a more autonomous role in creating customer-centered experiences that simplify complex financial information. You’ll work closely with senior designers, product managers, and developers, taking ownership of projects and contributing significantly across the full design process from research and ideation to prototyping and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Experience Design: Independently create and refine user experiences across platforms, with a focus on intuitive data visualizations and workflows.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with team members and stakeholders to align on goals and drive user experience initiatives.
- Simplify Complexity: Transform complex financial information into clear, user-friendly interactions, workflows, and visuals.
- Prototyping & Implementation: Develop detailed wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, and work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation.
- Data-Driven Design: Utilize data insights and research to make informed design decisions that enhance user satisfaction.
- Maintain Design Systems: Contribute to and help maintain our design system to ensure consistency and cohesion across all platforms.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in UX design or a related field, with strong skills in visual design and prototyping.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Axure, Adobe CS, or similar.
- In-depth understanding of design systems and experience in maintaining cohesive design standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to share ideas and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- A portfolio showcasing comprehensive design case studies and your ability to tackle complex design challenges.
- User-Focused: You have a strong commitment to designing with the end-user in mind, creating accessible and customer-centered experiences.
- Self-Starter: You’re proactive and able to work independently, taking initiative to drive projects forward.
- Collaborative & Communicative: You’re a team player with excellent communication skills and can effectively present and justify design decisions.
- Detail-Oriented: You have a keen eye for accuracy and quality in your designs, ensuring high standards in every project.
- Experienced: You have a solid foundation in UX design principles and practices, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity.
