About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Lead UX Developer with a strong background in front-end development and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on concurrent projects in dynamic environments and managing scope changes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development of user interfaces for enterprise applications.
  2. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement design specifications.
  3. Develop and maintain web applications using modern web development tools and frameworks.
  4. Build and use RESTful APIs.
  5. Ensure cross-browser compatibility (IE8-IE10, Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
  6. Utilize JavaScript file bundlers such as Webpack and Rollup.
  7. Implement design systems and work with SPA frameworks like Angular and Vue.
  8. Use CSS compilers (e.g., Sass, LESS) and data visualization libraries (e.g., D3, amCharts, Wijmo).
  9. Develop browser-rendered UI components and graphics systems (SVG, Canvas, WebGL).
  10. Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to story tasks.
  11. Produce deliverables within tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. 15+ years of experience in Software Development.
  3. 15+ years of front-end development experience, including 8+ years as a Senior/Lead UX Developer.
  4. 10+ years of experience writing TypeScript with React.
  5. 9+ years of experience building/using RESTful APIs.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills.
  8. Experience working with UI/UX designers.
  9. Knowledge of modern web development tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, npm, Gulp, Jenkins).
  10. Experience in an Agile development environment.
  11. Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
  12. Ready, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks.
  13. Experience designing for enterprise applications is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with Material UI.
  2. Experience with other SPA frameworks such as Angular and Vue.
  3. Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3, amCharts, Wijmo.

Compensation: $90,000 to $130,000 +/- and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Applications will be accepted until 03/12/2025.
