Position Description
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning for in-person events, tradeshows, webinars, and virtual events for the Mobile B2B team. This includes pre-event planning, day-of-event activities and execution, and post-event wrap-up/reporting.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate event management for in-person and virtual events, tradeshows, and webinars of varying size and complexity - including budgeting, vendor contracts, event logistics, vendor invoicing, etc.
* Plan and manage programs - on time, on budget, to scope.
* Build a strong working relationship with other divisions (Consumer, Networks, Display, etc.) to identify areas of collaboration.
* Provide post-event support- including attendance reports, recording edits, lessons learned, etc.
* Complete Reporting Dashboards in support of marketing team members' projects to measure and report on the success of their programs.
* Work to create and/or improve processes and procedures for executing and supporting events; document details and changes.
* Host check-in meetings as needed, for event planning and brainstorming.
* For virtual events, assist in managing virtual meeting features, such as screen sharing, recording, polling, breakout rooms, muting, etc.
* For webinars, host prep calls/dry runs with presenters to ensure audio, video, Internet, etc. meet specifications; provide guidance on optimizing presentations/delivery for ideal viewer experience.
* Work with internal creative teams, external agencies, and platforms to deliver content.
* Collaborate with multiple sales teams to support Event opportunities in their vertical or channel that will drive revenue growth and deliver a strong return on investment
* Coordinate and manage the details of Samsung financial processes and approvals to ensure requirements are met for funding allocation and seamless event execution.
Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience managing in-person and virtual events, tradeshows, and webinars.
* Experience working on cross-function projects, building sustainable processes, and coordinating schedules.
* Ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams that include sales, customer support, PR, social media, and marketing.
* Attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time.
* Project management expertise
* Strong time management skills
* Track record of driving and piloting new event ideas, measuring business impact (very important!), and iterating.
* Strong executive presence; able to read the audience and adjust in the moment as needed
* Ability to clearly communicate and pivot messages based on business needs at all levels of the organization.
* Strong knowledge of vendor/hotel contracts - set up, execution, etc.
* Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge/familiarity with the tech industry and industry verticals.
