The Marketing Manager provides strategic oversight, direction and input related to client/external events, external communications (including social media and PR/media relations), website and other digital marketing communication management, and firm sponsorships. This position also assists with some graphic design projects and assists with other projects as needed. This individual works in conjunction with the initiatives and goals of the Marketing & Client Development Department and firm.
Responsibilities:
The main function of this role is to work with the firm’s Marketing & Client Development team members and the firm’s practice group leaders and members to plan and execute the firm’s client/external communications and events, manage firm sponsorships (i.e., logos, advertisements), and manage firm photography and videography and graphic design projects.
This includes:
- Plan, manage and coordinate client/external events including budgeting, scheduling, invitation and registrations, site and vendor selection, attendee gifts, CLE submissions, and presenter materials.
- Assist in managing the firm’s external communications (website, social media, digital communication campaigns, PR/media relations) including working with various consultants.
- Source and manage inventory of the firm’s branded items/client gifts.
- Graphic design of print and digital advertisements, event invitations, collateral materials, etc., including working with vendors and consultants.
- Management of firm photographs and videography, including biography headshots and visual elements for advertising.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field preferred.
- At least 6-8 years of marketing/communications experience in a professional service, legal environment preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Suite, InDesign, and web content tools.
- Professional experience using social media to promote events and marketing activities, i.e., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
- Prefer experience working in a Client Relationship Management system (Intapp DealCloud or similar).
- Working knowledge of law firm and legal marketing initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Exceptional writing, editing and written/verbal communication skills.
