Marketing Director

Job description
The Marketing Director will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products in the HVAC industry. Marketing responsibilities span TEC (residential replacement, Carrier/Bryant/Payne) and Excelsior (Air distribution/sheet metal, parts supplies, Day Night)
Duties/Responsibilities
Directs and implements the organization’s advertising and promotional activities. Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches. Identifies new market segments that will benefit from company products. Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research. Maintains knowledge of emerging products and services. Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization. Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department’s operating budget. Develop customer relationships with the core customer base. Vendor Management - vendor selection/contract negotiation ongoing management Customer Program management including design, implementation, tracking and analysis. Planning and managing department budgets. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and management staff in the department. Oversees the daily workflow of the department. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handles discipline and termination of employees and following company policy. Performs other related due duties as assigned.
Education Qualifications
5 years of marketing and advertising in B2B (to C) type of sales channel, preferably in HVAC or similar home services industry Bachelor’s in business/marketing and/or engineering or equivalent work experience Thorough understanding of both traditional and digital advertising including TV, radio, print, direct mail, email marketing, PPC/SEM, SEO, Social, mobile, etc. Experience in developing and managing sales programs and promotions Effectively manage small and large-scale events Technical aptitude preferred - must be comfortable understanding technical/mechanical products Fully Proficient in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint Strong supervisory and leadership skills for both team and vendors. Intense ability to multi-task and work effectively with tight deadlines Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Schedule
Full-Time Monday through Friday
In Office Full-Time When Not Traveling
Schedule is based on business needs
Local travel in the greater Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area of up to 25% is possible.
1-2x per year travel to Minneapolis and Kansas City possible.
