Velocity Black is looking for a Director to join our team as Head of Content Marketing.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and launch Velocity Black’s content strategy in support of business objectives, and ensure they live up to our brand promise.
- Develop an integrated content marketing and social media framework across Velocity Black’s existing member base and target relevant audiences, working with internal and external partners.
- Own the brand’s content marketing, publishing, and moderation execution across Velocity Black’s website/content hub, App CMS, Instagram, LinkedIn, email marketing communications, and in-app marketing.
- Manage an editorial calendar that reflects production workflows and publishing schedules.
- Create a collaborative model for content marketing and brand marketing, defining processes, metrics and stakeholder buy-in from business partners.
- Responsible for the vision, strategy and integration of social tools, technologies, practices and principles into business processes for the attainment of the mission.
- Facilitate integration of content and social within overall marketing strategy to create high impact marketing tactics that produce mass awareness and conversation online.
- Determine metrics of success and assess effectiveness of content and social marketing initiatives; influence members, prospective members, and other relevant audiences.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and competitive strategies to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
- Closely monitor customer, competitive, and industry behaviors as it relates to marketing strategy; use research tools to guide ideas or concept evolution.
- Work with Enterprise Content Marketing and Social Media teams and lead cross-functional teams and manage input from stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 8 years of marketing experience
- At least 5 years of experience in planning, executing, and analyzing marketing programs
- At least 5 years of people leader experience
- At least 3 years of experience in content strategy and production
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's of Business Administration
- 5+ years of experience working with SEO, SEM, Social, and Web analytics and testing

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Marketing
McLean, VA: $200,100 - $228,400 for Director, Marketing
