Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr

This is a full-time, on-location position based in Redding, CA.

Position Title: Senior Graphic Designer

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing & Public Relations

Status: Non-Exempt

Summary

Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Senior Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s digital and print graphic design.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and maintain Graphic Design Standards for Turtle Bay’s departments and partnering organizations.
  • Design for multiple audiences and marketing campaigns.
  • Create promotional, educational, and directional content such as wayfinding.
  • Oversee digital and print projects from conception to delivery.
  • Source images for print collateral, website, and social media use; maintain the organization’s photo and video archives.
  • Assist and advise staff on the implementation of the organization’s branding and style guide.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field required.
  • Minimum four (4) years of design work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (especially Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign, and Photoshop).
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments to ensure proper delivery of marketing design assets.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage details, solve problems, and oversee diverse priorities or multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven expertise in implementing successful marketing campaigns and associated design strategies.
  • Ability to design and scale branded designs for a wide range of applications, including event signage, web banners, flyers, and advertisements.
  • Strong creative thinking skills, attention to detail, and a sense of layout, color combinations, hierarchy of information, and typography.
  • Understanding of color profiles for print and web graphic design and the correct file deliverables for intended use.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to utilize company file storage practices.
  • Experience managing the production of all print materials from conception to completion in coordination with graphic design team members.
  • Experience developing and maintaining print and electronic media contacts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated public speaking ability.
  • Ability to communicate compellingly in various styles and circumstances and interact effectively with staff, management, media, community, and business contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project budgets.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended days as needed.
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license or be able to acquire it within ten (10) days. A clean DMV report is required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software and macOS.
  • Knowledge and ability in photography or videography is a plus.
