BGSF is looking for a talented social media manager who can help bring our brands to life across various social platforms. This person must have a solid track record of developing and implementing social media strategies to align with business goals. Knowledge of social media best practices, trends, and technologies for direct-to-consumer brands is a strong plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with a wide variety of stakeholders to successfully get campaigns across the finish line are necessary in the social media manager role.

Objectives of this role

  • Partner with social media agency to develop and execute on social media strategies
  • Ensure social media assets align with brand guidelines and legal requirements
  • Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality social initiatives
  • Acquire new followers based on key target audiences
  • Align our brand with new and emerging trends (where it makes sense based on our brands and services)
  • Leverage internal content and blog articles in partnership with content and SEO team
  • Identify new opportunities to leverage our brand that align with our marketing and business goals
  • Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with social media agency partner to develop campaigns that meet brand and business objectives
  • Create and manage a social media calendar and ensure it aligns with seasonal needs, content calendar, cross-channel marketing campaigns, and any new company or product announcements
  • Help ensure consistency across multiple platforms and audiences
  • Optimize social media posts for search visibility, leveraging keyword-rich descriptions, hashtags, and links to improve organic reach and referral traffic
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities, including weekly status meetings with agency partner, social media calendar, email communications, reporting, and campaign reviews
  • Oversee the campaign review process and partner with the brand and legal teams to ensure campaigns meet requirements
  • Ensure agency partner posts according to social media calendar and that all posts meet approved creative and copy requirements
  • Partner closely with content and SEO team to incorporate relevant content into social posts
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Partner with social media agency to monitor brand mentions and customer sentiment so we can respond to any PR issues as needed
  • Partner with social media agency to establish clear KPIs for organic social performance, including engagement rates, audience growth, traffic to owned content, and other key metrics
  • Analyze the company’s social strategy to make frequent improvement suggestions
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, and blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to help develop brand awareness
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications

Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms
  • Ability to learn product nuances and legal regulations
  • Experience managing social media for enterprise-level brands
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques
  • Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure
  • Clear, confident communication abilities
