The Marketing department executes brand growth and revenue driving campaigns across the club's business operations including ticket sales, community initiatives, merchandising, youth programming, etc. The Rowdies are seeking a Manager, Marketing that will support these campaigns while focusing on traditional and digital advertising mediums including TV, OOH, print, radio, paid social, SEM, etc. Additionally, the role will be responsible for email and website communications from conceptualization to execution and analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategize, develop, and lead execution of all traditional and digital advertising campaigns with a primary focus on single game ticket sales and brand growth
- Identify and track marketing key performance indicators that will contribute to the growth of the organization
- Collaborate with the analytics team to manage the consumer database including data acquisition strategy and implementation as well as segmentation and targeting
- Oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of promotions, giveaways, and themes pertaining to matchdays
- Lead all marketing automation efforts
- Serve as a day-to-day brand manager for the organization; provide stewardship of brand guidelines as well as counseling other departments on branding questions
- Manage relationships with outside vendors related to marketing efforts (i.e. agencies, USL, etc.)
- Identify marketing trends and new technologies that help reach the organization's business objectives
- As needed, oversee marketing and advertising efforts around non-soccer events located at Al Lang Stadium and/or the Rowdies training facility
- Oversee administration and updating of internal marketing assets, i.e. concourse displays, exterior signage, etc.
- Assist in the development, execution, and evaluation of all annual marketing plans and budgets
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University required, major in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field a plus
- 4+ years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry in a role focused in traditional or digital marketing
- Sufficient knowledge of the USL Championship and/or the global soccer landscape
- Proficiency in HTML is a plus, but not required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets
- Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Mailchimp
- Ability to manage external vendors
- Must thrive in a fast-paced and highly collaborative work environment
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making
- Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills
