Reporting to the Director of Employee & Executive Communications, this role will support the Comms team in shaping and sharing our story to the 150 million+ people who come to Discord every month…and the passionate team members delivering for them. With an emphasis on business and brand communications, the Sr. Employee & Exec Comms Manager will help reinforce Discord’s vision, build trust and credibility with key audiences, and shape a more engaged and mission-driven workforce. This role must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but there is no hard requirement for working onsite. What you'll be doing: Developing and executing internal communication strategies that advance business objectives and reinforce Discord’s employer brand. Building strong partnerships with leaders and drivers of strategic priorities to stay informed and relay key updates and progress to the company. Driving internal efforts to effectively cascade information throughout the organization. Connecting the dots and translating sometimes complex information into clear, compelling communications that resonate with different audiences. Leading efforts to ensure Discord’s brand as an employer is authentic, consistent and engaging. Driving initiatives that strengthen company culture and employee connection to the brand, including storytelling campaigns and internal brand advocacy programs. What you should have: Five years of experience building and managing company internal communications programs Demonstrated strong business acumen Experience supporting communications at both public and private companies Knowledge of and/or experience with employer brand initiatives Track record of building strong relationships, partnering with and advising cross-functional stakeholders (including executive audiences) Ability to connect the dots and translate complex ideas into concise, easy-to-understand communications An understanding of and/or experience using Discord Previous ownership of employer brand program Prior PR experience
