The Role
Do you have experience playing music for Catholic worship? Are you looking for an opportunity to use your musical talent to enhance Mass and other liturgical services?
We are seeking a dedicated Catholic Music Accompanist to provide musical support for the Catholic community at DMAFB Chapel.
The Catholic Music Accompanist plays a key role in supporting worship by providing musical accompaniment during Masses and special liturgical services. Working closely with the Catholic Music Director and Chaplain, you will help create an atmosphere of reverence and devotion through music.

Key Responsibilities:
- Play music at weekend Masses and special services as scheduled.
- Attend and contribute to regular planning meetings with the Catholic Music Director.
- Prepare for and play at a one-hour rehearsal each week for each liturgy.
- Accompany warm-up sessions before each service.
- Assist with additional liturgical services such as the Christmas Cantata and other special observances.
The Person
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of Catholic liturgical music and worship practices.
- Can sight-read, transpose, and develop accompaniment from a melody or chord structure.
- Maintains a professional and respectful approach to dress, conduct, and interaction with staff and parishioners.
- Can demonstrate musical competency through academic certification and/or relevant experience.
- Works well within a team and takes direction from the Catholic Music Director and Chaplain.
