Associate Creative Director, Copy, Interactive Experiences
Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. The Interactive Experiences group is part of Apple Marcom and is responsible for designing cutting-edge digital shopping experiences on apple.com, the Apple Store app, and emerging digital platforms. We also create marketing for Apple Store services and programs.
An Associate Creative Director (ACD) of Copy on the Interactive Experiences team leads projects that define the Apple customer shopping experience. They work hand-in-hand with other functional ACD peers in Art Direction, User Experience Design, and Design to help develop and guide shopping experiences, retail programs, direct marketing, and apps. They help writers master the Apple voice and guide them as they craft copy for a range of digital touch points. ACDs get deep into the work to make sure the messaging throughout a shopping experience is clear, concise and conversational.

On any given day, the ACD collaborates closely with partners in Design and Experience Design to review and critique work – and then (when ready) present it to different key stakeholders, including senior executives. They work with Product Managers to find creative ways to solve business problems and manage and coach a team of writers to get a project to the finish line. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partnering with ACD peers to develop interactive strategies and to oversee the execution of work.
- Reviewing, editing, and providing clear feedback and direction for writers on a project.
- Mentoring and managing the career growth of direct reports.
- Presenting and defending creative work to Creative Directors and senior Apple executives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners and executives to ensure that creative work aligns with product, brand, and business strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in a creative-focused digital agency or in-house at a leading brand.
- At least 5 years of people management experience working as an Associate Creative Director, Creative Director or other creative leadership role.
- Experience creative directing and writing for online shopping journeys and/or apps.
- A diverse portfolio of digital creative and customer experiences projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong management, organizational, and narrative skills.
- The ability to articulately present and defend creative work.
- The ability to collaborate with senior executives.
- A master of diplomacy.
- A true love of writing.
