Works under and reports back to the Library Director. The marketing professional develops video content, flyers, and educates residents on how to use video creation for public use in the studio. Tracks metrics and creates social media strategies for the Library and Village. Will develop content that will attract new customers and help keep existing ones engaged. Serves as the digital face of the library and should maintain the same level of customer service provided in the physical library.
Collaborate with the Library Director, Library staff, and Village Departments to create marketing materials for departments, programs, and special events.

- Assist digital and social media, public relations, and creative teams to select the appropriate media for their projects across different media platforms.
- Schedule placement of content on digital media platforms.
- Improve awareness using digital media.
- Work with marketing writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Work with camera, video camera, computers, drones, and other recording devices, broadcasting, and lighting. Prepare sets.
- Keep track of updated and new information; what is trending in technology to be added into the library services and resources.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget, particularly as it relates to technical services and needs; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; monitor and control expenditures.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives. Assist in implementing policies and procedures.
- Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities; recommend improvements and modifications; prepare various reports on operations and activities.
- Anticipate, manage, and maintain accurate records for all expenditures, assuring compliance with current VPS purchasing procedures.
- Process invoices for payment in MUNIS (Enterprise ERP) system.
- Manage e-resources platforms, set up platforms, and train staff on platforms.
- Compile monthly stats for all digital content created and studio usage.
- Manage and maintain patron services with studio-related equipment.
- Maintain accurate lists of subscriptions and licenses being used in the studio.
- Maintain consistency in content development and management.
- Ensure library facilities, equipment, and IT are functioning properly; report issues and follow up until resolved.
- Liaison with the library director to ensure that the public and media specialist are supporting and meeting our community needs.
- Manage inventory and equipment in the studio.
- Assist the Library Director with planning and coordinating routine and special projects, as well as the supervision of the efficient operation of the library. Perform related work as required.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Host at least one program a month.
Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years’ experience in digital media, marketing, or related field. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
