DESCRIPTION
Seagle Festival, a renowned 110-year-old program for aspiring opera and musical theater performers, seeks a dynamic Pianist/Music Director for its 7-week early fall community engagement program.
Contract Dates: August 25, 2025, to October 12, 2025
Compensation: $600 per week, on-campus housing (private room, shared bath), and a $400 travel stipend
Responsibilities:
Serve as Music Director/Pianist/Tour Director for a touring production of Monkey & Francine in the City of Tigers by Kamala Sankaram & David Johnston
Serve as Music Director/Pianist for a touring revue of the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber
Provide private coaching (as available) for four fall-season emerging artist singers
Serve as Pianist for any other assigned fall-season events
Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of standard operatic and musical theater repertoire
Experience coaching and rehearsing with pre-professional or professional vocal artists in musical preparation
Valid driver's license
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working effectively both independently and as part of a team
Comfort and experience in engaging adult and youth audiences when introducing touring programs
Ability to interact professionally with community engagement partners
