Music Teacher (Band) - Long Term Substitute Job at Servingschools in South Portl

This posting is for a long-term substitute teaching position for a high school band director at South Portland High School. This position involves teaching symphonic band, music history and theory, and AP music theory.

A successful LTS should:

1. Create and implement a music curriculum that's engaging and meets the needs of all students.
2. Lead classes and rehearsals for performances.
3. Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
4. Organize and maintain records for student attendance, achievement, and activities.
5. Promote a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Preference is given for those who currently hold or are eligible for Maine Music 614 (K-12) certification.

The position will start on 4/4/25 and run for the remainder of the school year.
