Web Site Designer – Editorial Focus

Exciting Opportunity with a Leading Global Retailer

Location: New York, NY 10038 (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

3-Month W2 Contract

Join a renowned global brand in the fashion industry as a Web Site Designer and play a key role in the development of an exciting new editorial website. This is a unique opportunity to work on creative projects with editorial, creative, and marketing teams to bring fresh and engaging content to life!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Web Site Designer, you’ll be responsible for conceptualizing and designing visually striking content for a new editorial-focused website. Working closely with editorial leads and creative teams, you’ll ensure the design and consistency of homepage and article pages, while leveraging existing assets to create dynamic visual executions. You will also conduct photo research to find the perfect images for the stories.

Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines, are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with editorial and creative teams to design homepage and article pages
• Oversee the consistency and design of the website
• Conduct photo research using various stock sites
• Create graphic collages and other design solutions using existing images
• Stay up to date on the latest trends in fashion and social media
• Work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and collaborative culture

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to create dynamic graphic collages using existing images
• Skilled in photo research and working with stock images
• Knowledge of the latest trends in fashion and social media
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• A desire for long-term career growth and development

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years in a design role (internships are welcome)
• Fashion editorial experience preferred
• Proficiency in Mac OS and Adobe Suite programs
• Strong fluency in WordPress
