Akkodis is seeking a Senior UX Interaction Designer for a Contract job with a client in Dearborn MI. This role involves crafting beautiful, user-centered designs based on research, leading collaborative workshops, and mentoring junior designers while driving design strategy and aligning with business goals.

Rate Range: $70/hour to $72/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior UX Interaction Designer job responsibilities include:

  • Designing lean, iterative, and development-ready solutions that scale for the future while considering current technology constraints.
  • Leading product teams through the user-centered design process with workshops for discovery and ideation.
  • Conducting user research and experiments, synthesizing findings to inform product design and strategy.
  • Advocating for and applying a Human-Centered Design process across the organization.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure designs meet both user needs and business goals.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior designers while taking ownership of UX design for projects.
  • Sharing research insights and customer journeys to inspire the product organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in UX/Interaction/Product Design, with 2+ years leading collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in creating user-centered designs based on deep user research and collaboration.
  • Strong experience in mentoring junior designers and leading design processes across various digital media.

Pay Details: $70.00 to $72.00 per hour
