Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Accounting or related field and one (1) year experience in grants administration, management, coordination and writing; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Required Licenses or Certifications:Valid New Mexico driver's license or ability to obtain a valid New Mexico driver's license within 30 days of hire. Other Requirements Ability to maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license Essential Job Functions Researches and applies for local, state, federal and private foundation funding sources for specific projects and programs as assigned; advises, explains, and consults with various departments on the application and monitoring process of grants to ensure successful grant awards and grant compliance.In collaboration with other County staff consistently reviews grant budgets; completes and ensures timely submission of financial reports, billing, and other documents to ensure grant compliance. Writes grant applications as assigned; ensures federal requirements are part of the scope of proposals (i.e. contractors' requirements to comply with State of NM & Federal requirements, ensuring disbarred vendors are not awarded contracts, etc.).Compiles and maintains background information on the culture, economy and demographics of the County related to areas in which a grant is utilized. Coordinates, monitors, and maintains government grants and contract documents in coordination with the County clerk and records management policies.Participates in meetings related to grant matters including grant site visits, conducting surveys, making presentations to the community and elected officials, grant closeouts, and potential grant providers/funders.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Sandoval County offers benefits to full-time and part-time employees working 20 hours or more a week including: Health Care, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance, Long-Term and Short-Term disability insurance, Holiday pay, Vacation and Sick Leave, Deferred Compensation Plan.Sandoval County non-union, non-safety positions are part of the Municipal Plan 2.
