In this position, you will work with a diverse range of professionals, including engineers, and scientists, technical editors, and marketers. You will develop, write, and submit grant applications, primarily for grants for state and federal opportunities and provide grant administration services. You may also provide writing or editing support for proposals or technical reports.

MORE ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS

A typical workday will involve working with teams on technical reports and proposals with varying deadlines with a focus on the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Researching and maintaining familiarity with federal and state grant and funding opportunities for infrastructure projects
  • Identifying grant opportunities that align with client needs
  • Advising clients on the competitiveness of the applicant and proposal in relation to the funding source and opportunity
  • Writing grant applications
  • Developing project budgets as directed by the grant opportunity
  • Working with clients and partners to define project and implementation details
  • Developing timelines, project plans, organizational charts, process flow charts, infographics, etc. as needed for grant applications
  • Ensuring timely submission of grants
  • Providing grant administration to ensure compliance with grant requirements
  • Coordinating with appropriate subject matter experts, including strategic planning, to support grant writing services or public projects
  • Providing writing or editing support for proposals or technical reports


We are currently seeking a part-time employee for this role; however, there is potential for this to grow into a full-time position. Overtime will be required periodically to meet deadlines, including possible evening or weekend work. This position also requires that the potential employee pass a pre-employment drug screen. You must possess and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer, and must be eligible to work in the United States. Position level and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications. The preferred location for this position is Albuquerque, New Mexico; however remote candidates with ability to travel may also be considered.
