NATURE OF DUTIES: The Director of Patient Access is responsible for leading patient access operations, including scheduling, switchboard functions, and ensuring high-quality service. The Director will drive departmental goals, implement best practices, and collaborate with various teams to maintain operational excellence. This role reports to the VP of Operations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead the department to align with organizational goals, set performance expectations, and ensure high service levels. Provide leadership to front office and clinic teams for seamless communication and scheduling.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, including scheduling, insurance verification, and resource allocation. Improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and ensure efficient workflows.
  • Portal Usage: Promote the patient portal for streamlined communication and access to services.
  • Data & Reporting: Analyze data to track KPIs and report performance metrics to senior management.
  • Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, training, and development of team members. Mentor staff and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Staffing & Resources: Monitor staffing levels, approve time-off requests, and manage departmental budgets.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as liaison between departments to ensure accurate, timely communication. Resolve issues and escalate as needed.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies, HIPAA compliance, and accurate patient documentation. Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Contribute to strategic planning and perform other duties as needed to meet departmental goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
  1. 5+ years of experience in healthcare, 3+ years of Healthcare Scheduling Center experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  2. Bachelor's degree required. CPAM or CHCS certifications a plus.

Compensation: Pay starting at $80,000. Pay will be commensurate base on experience
