We’re on the search for a passionate and analytically-minded "Senior Content Strategist" to join our small but mighty internal marketing agency. Internal marketing agency? The heck is that? Here’s the scoop:


Essentially, our team is the marketing department of three sister companies: MPower Solar, Overpass, and Saleboat. MPower Solar is a well-established solar energy company that is just gaining its marketing legs; Overpass is an established sales talent marketplace undergoing a tune-up; Saleboat, the new SaaS sales company on the block, is currently in the research and development stage.


You have three brands to utilize as your content strategy playground and our team is ready to play.


Using your comprehensive experience and expertise in the content marketing world, you’ll determine content strategy models and channel approaches to offer the greatest value to our brands’ ideal clients & employees. You’ll also work closely with the team to deliver a unique content mix and consistent brand message.


A successful candidate should be a strong copy & content writer, creative thinker, data-informed decision maker, effective communicator, and a collaborative team member – whew! A proven track record of developing content for multiple target audiences & channels, within B2B and B2C companies, and willingness to get your hands dirty in content creation is a must. The right fit will possess a strong understanding of Youtube as a main content channel, a proven skillset in SEO best practices and implementation, and a comfort with navigating the ebbs and flows of the fast-paced start-up lifestyle.

Requirements


  • 4 year degree in marketing or other related field
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing and other related fields
  • A proven track record of researching audiences in order to implement content strategies across multiple channels in B2B and B2C environments
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to utilize data to make informed decisions
  • Strong writing and editing abilities
  • Fluent in SEO best practices and implementation
  • Extensive experience with full-funnel marketing
  • Familiarity with tools such as: Semrush, Adwords, GA4, Looker Studio, Mailchimp, Hubspot
  • Previous advertising experience on channels such as: Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Willingness to be in front of the camera
  • A go-with-the-flow attitude and ability to maintain strong project management skills through peaks and pivots.


Responsibilities


As an Overpass Senior Content Strategist, you’ll rock at the following:


  • Working closely with the Director of Marketing on ongoing content strategy design & management to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives


  • The ability to stay up to date and consult on best content strategies for multiple brands while implementing and reporting on plans and procedures that support and extend long and short term initiatives on a day-to-day basis


  • Deeply investigating and understanding target audience demographics and pain points & the ability to tailor content accordingly


  • Writing and editing copy and content, included but not limited to: website copy, social media content/captions, marketing emails, blog articles, YouTube titles and descriptions, non-digital ad copy, PPC campaigns, and video content scripts


  • Establishing a continuously evolving multi-channel content practice, performance goals, and ongoing measurement protocols to evaluate and optimize content effectiveness


  • Researching and leveraging keywords and market/buyer data to develop content themes/topics


  • Executing plans to create the assets that support a point of view and lead to critical behavioral metrics, generate leads, and meet goals


  • Acting out scripts in front of the camera to help produce dope video content


  • Conducting ongoing usability tests to gauge content effectiveness; Gather data, handle analytics, and make recommendations based on those results


  • Working directly with our established, innovative, and quick-thinking marketing, product, and sales teams


  • Ensuring all content is consistent with brand, style, quality, tone of voice, and optimized for the various user experiences and across all appropriate channels

Starting Salary: $90,000 -$110k
