Job Summary:
The Content Developer (Junior) will support the Service Operation team in improving data management initiatives in line with Executive Order 14028 and Memorandum 21-31. This entry-level position focuses on assisting in the creation, editing, and management of content associated with the enrollment of enterprise IT assets into a centralized logging repository. The role will also involve customer engagement with system owners to facilitate these enrollments and support independent validation and verification (IV&V) processes. Additionally, the Content Developer will help prepare documentation for secured external website access requests (EWARS) and assist in maintaining records for the Enterprise IT configuration Change Management process.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in the creation and editing of technical documentation, including user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
•Work closely with team members to gather information and develop content that enhances understanding of data management and cybersecurity processes.
•Support the development of schema for standardizing logs being ingested into the centralized logging repository.
•Engage with system owners to facilitate their enrollment in the logging repository and document the process.
•Aid in the preparation and review of documentation related to independent validation and verification (IV&V) of consolidated logs.
•Assist in the approval process for secured external website access requests (EWARS) by preparing necessary documentation.
•Help maintain records and documentation for the Enterprise IT configuration Change Management process.
•Participate in team meetings to provide updates and receive feedback for continuous improvement.
Unique Skills/Tasks/Software:
•Basic knowledge of Cybersecurity SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic).
•Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
•Experience using Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
•PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) (or interest in pursuing)
•Splunk Core Certified Power User (or interest in pursuing)
•ITIL v4 Practice Manager (PM) (or interest in pursuing)
•Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or interest in pursuing)
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Communication, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or relevant internship experience).
•Some experience in content development, technical writing, or related fields is preferred, but not required.
•Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage effectively with stakeholders.
•Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and data management practices is a plus.
