Robert Half's retail client in Central NJ is looking for a Front-End Developer with Shopify expertise. MUST be able to work onsite 4 days/week in the Monmouth County area!!

Job Title: Front-End Developer (Shopify Expertise)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Front-End Developer with a strong expertise in Shopify development for a contract-to-hire position. The successful candidate will focus on building high-performance, visually appealing online storefronts and will bring at least three years of hands-on experience with Shopify Plus to the role. If you have a strong technical foundation, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to delivering top-notch eCommerce solutions, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shopify Expertise: Implement advanced Shopify features, including APIs, Apps, Functions, and Extensions, tailored to client specifications.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and scalable code in line with Shopify’s best practices and coding standards.
• Front-End Development: Demonstrate 3+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong emphasis on Shopify.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, marketers, and back-end developers to ensure seamless project execution and feature integration.
• Problem Solving: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and other issues proactively to ensure the best possible user experience.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in Shopify and front-end technologies to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
• Shopify Plus Experience: Deep knowledge of theme customization, Shopify Scripts, and the Shopify Checkout flow.
• eCommerce Best Practices: Apply UX/UI design principles and conversion optimization techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• SEO and Performance Optimization: Implement strategies for improving SEO and optimizing storefront performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on Shopify.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
• Familiarity with networking, databases, and integration of third-party services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both in a team environment and when working independently.
• Relevant certifications or a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Headless Commerce architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
