Position Summary:

This role will help build, maintain, and enhance Webster Bank's marketing websites leveraging an industry-standard Web Content Management System (Web CMS). You'll partner cross-organizationally with the lines of business, marketers, designers, product managers, developers, legal, and compliance to ensure Webster Bank's brand is optimally presented across public-facing website channels and digital experiences. This position will also be responsible for SEO/Content and maintain marketing content on other digital marketing platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Maintenance (CMS)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to review and understand requirements and specifications for web content creation.
  • Edit, proofread, maintain, build, and publish web pages based on business requirements. Translate content into corresponding templates to align with Webster's brand.
  • Review existing site content and templates - make recommendations to improve client experience, engagement and help reach business goals.
  • Monitor monthly and quarterly URL tracking reports to ensure reviewers' approvals are captured and edit requests are performed, approved, and documented.
  • Monitor website accessibility reports and work with developers to implement fixes.
  • Test websites across browsers, operating systems and devices and ensure functionality and efficiency of sites and web servers.
  • Monitor and report on website traffic.
  • Ensure websites are secure and user data is safeguarded.


Website Development
  • Collaborates with internal development teams and external vendors to implement website enhancements and resolve technical issues.
  • Creates and manages Jira tickets to document, track, and prioritize website development tasks, bug fixes, and feature requests.
  • Conducts thorough quality assurance (QA) testing on all website updates and enhancements to ensure functionality, performance, and adherence to brand standards before launch.
  • Partners with developers and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve website defects, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to user experience.


SEO/Content
  • Analyze, review, and QA content. Propose and implement changes to optimize search discoverability
  • Monitor keyword/search trends. Recommend potential topics for blog content and enhancements to existing content.
  • Manage/monitor local listings to ensure accuracy across third party platforms; Make recommendations to improve local search performance.
  • Research web and digital communication trends, innovations, and emergent interactive technologies to support recommendations on new features and applications.


Digital Platforms
  • Maintain and update content displayed in online/mobile banking platforms and on digital signage, ensuring content and artwork are consistent with Webster brand


Analytics/Reporting/Operations
  • Building reports and dashboards to help showcase website performance (including reporting on lead generation, site traffic, etc).
  • Manage tags across digital platforms, including websites and media tags with Google Tag Manager
  • Ensure all website requests entered into workflow tools are captured, processed, and prepared for prioritization review.
  • Process related vendor invoices and maintain aggregate records for budget review
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure website content is compliant with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining all website content documentation and for providing reports and samples for all internal and external audits, legal and compliance reviews.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Web/Interactive Design, IT, Digital Marketing, Marketing or Communications) or comparable work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building, editing, and publishing content using a content management system (CMS-WordPress preferred) and various internet browsers' developer modes
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS principles
  • Basic understanding of Website Accessibility
  • Demonstrated understanding of web best practices, SEO, and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Strong writing, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer/technical skill and ability to quickly master new software
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager preferred)


The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000USD to $120,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
