Job Description

Be an integral part of AZTEC’s Business Development/Marketing group and will partner with our technical staff to plan and lead a variety of strategic marketing proposal assignments, ranging from qualifications statements to strategic, complex proposals and presentations. This position will require motivation, energetic self-starters who possess excellent oral and written communication skills and effective listening skills; enjoy developing creative solutions to tackle challenges; are team players ready to support each other; have a vested interest in the success of AZTEC, and a passion for the advancement of the A/E/C industry. This position reports directly to the Marketing Director

Duties:

  • Coordinating, developing, and producing proposals, qualifications, and other marketing materials, such as presentations, award submittals and brochures
  • Coordinating communication activities, including email campaigns, website updates, and social media posts
  • Maintaining accurate database information used by AZTEC to track proposals and projects
  • Assisting with external business development efforts, which may include special events, conferences, etc.


Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Minimum Education: Associate Degree or equivalent to three years of relevant work experience (AEC industry a plus). Degrees in related fields, such as Journalism, Communications, English, Business, or related field, from an accredited university, a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) year’s experience in marketing coordinating (A/E/C industry a plus).
  • Experience/knowledge of Microsoft O365 programs (Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Intermediate experience/knowledge of Adobe programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a variety of teams in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to assist with technical writing and editing a plus
  • A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and thrives under deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work and manage a remotely connected team with flexible working situations, as needed

Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
