Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises, coordinates, and oversees activities and staffing of enrichment and recreation programs.
- Coordinates and participates in field trips, sporting events, and academic competitions.
- Evaluates efficiency of enrichment and recreation personnel and organized program activities.
- Oversees work location and assignments of Out-of-School Area Program Supervisors and other personnel.
- Plans and conducts training programs for personnel, parents, and community organizations.
- Monitors student attendance and projects its impact on the program budget.
- Identifies programs with declining attendance and proposes methods to increase it.
- Assists in screening applications for positions and interviews applicants.
- Composes and designs marketing materials for enrichment and recreation programs.
- Facilitates team meetings with program personnel.
- Drives to various sites to coordinate activities and meet with staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: A minimum of 12 semester units in early childhood education or related fields from a recognized college or university. One year of additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.
Experience: Two years of experience supervising a recreation or enrichment program. A bachelor’s degree may substitute for up to eighteen months of the required experience.
Special Requirements: A First-Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate must be obtained within 60 days of employment. A valid driver's license is required.
