KOKI/Fox23 Tulsa has an opening for a dynamic, deadline-driven journalist who wants to make a difference. FOX23 is an exciting place to work. We are thriving in an active market with its share of weather and breaking news. We are looking for a journalist who is passionate about delivering viewer-driven newscasts. You will be responsible for pitching and producing enterprising content that engages our news viewers across all our platforms.
What you will do:
- Write, shoot, edit and present compelling content both on-air and online.
- Post content and engage with audiences on social media platforms.
- Demonstrate solid news judgment and storytelling abilities, with a passion for delivering original, imaginative content every day.
- Excel at breaking news and enterprise significant, local stories.
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Open to receiving coaching and feedback.
- Operate and maintain a professional quality video camera and related news gathering equipment.
- Be familiar with and understand non-linear editing techniques to meet deadlines and create high-impact stories.
- Understand how to properly light interviewees in the field.
- Candidate must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
- Knowledge of the Tulsa DMA and Oklahoma is helpful.
- Knowledge of non-linear editing software.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to carry and set up a camera on a tripod.
