The Poet Speaks is hiring: VOLUNTEER Sound Mixer/Producer in New York

Role Description
This is an on-site volunteer role for a Sound Mixer for The Poet Speaks TV show. The Sound Mixer will be responsible for production sound for a 2-day shoot in NYC on the weekend of March 8th-9th, 2025. The volunteer must have their own equipment (preferably 2 lavs and a recorder) or be willing to be a boom operator.

Qualifications

• Production Sound and Sound Design skills
• Mixing and Audio Editing abilities
• Experience as a Boom Operator
• Strong attention to detail and creativity
• Passion for sound production and storytelling
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Experience with recording equipment and software
• Previous experience in sound production for podcasts or similar projects is a plus
