Position: Vice President of Marketing, Founding Forward, Full-time Reporting to the Executive VP/COO, the VP of Marketing will lead and manage the marketing and communications initiatives of this growing national civic education organization. The VP will plan and implement a strategic, integrated marketing approach to support, enhance, and grow Founding Forward's educational programs. This position is critical to the success of Founding Forward's recently approved strategic plan, which calls for dramatic growth. This position will strategically align activities across external and internal communications, fundraising initiatives, programs, and board engagement. Founding Forward is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit national civic education organization, with the mission to inform and engage citizens through transformational educational experiences grounded in American history. These experiences enable students, teachers, and citizens to understand, appreciate, and practice the principles, rights, and responsibilities of American citizenship. This position is in-person, primarily based in the Valley Forge office. Occasional travel is required.Key Responsibilities: Manage all marketing/communications efforts, directly or through the other staff, including marketing material, general communications, recruitment, brand development, and more. Develop and oversee a comprehensive, proactive communications, marketing, and branding strategy to continue growing brand familiarity, programs, and build messaging. Working with the Founding Forward team, leverage key partnerships to support and implement marketing plans, drive growth, and engage constituents. Develop a robust recruiting program to grow program participation to reach aggressive goals as adopted in a new strategic plan. Ensure clean data collection, performance reporting, and segmentation across media channels. Manage strategic communications and messaging for signature events and programs. Work with leadership to develop KPIs to measure/evaluate effectiveness of marketing/ communications to help inform and drive performance and decision-making. Manage the current team of two marketing professionals and develop plan for future growth. Train all staff to more seamlessly maintain brand management and effective communications. Ideal candidate: Demonstrated belief in the mission and vision of Founding Forward is critical to success. The ideal person for this position will have an executive presence. Skills for success will include strong interpersonal skills, a strong attention to detail and follow-through, and the ability to multi-task, and manage systems. In a fast-paced environment, this position should be able to exhibit good judgment under pressure. Candidate should be a self-starter, while able to take the initiative and interact effectively with all levels of staff, volunteers, and the general community. Candidate should be passionate about education and engagement.Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. Experience : 8 years marketing experience, preferably in nonprofit communications and marketing. Must have experience in management.
