Our client, a publishing company, is seeking a temporary Editorial Manager for 3-4 months to oversee the curation, planning, and execution of a suite of editorial newsletters. This role requires strong newsroom experience, excellent news judgment, and the ability to craft compelling promotional content to drive engagement and subscriptions.
Responsibilities Develop and manage the daily editorial newsletter strategy, selecting content based on audience insights and business goals.
Craft compelling headlines and promotional copy, while curating visuals to enhance storytelling.
Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize content distribution and improve subscriber engagement and retention.
Monitor newsletter performance, analyze key metrics, and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field is required for this role.
5+ years of experience in a fast-moving editorial environment.
Experience with HTML, digital content management systems, and Adobe products.
Solid understanding of digital publishing and newsletter-specific production best practices.
Strong background in email platforms, digital best practices, and audience engagement strategies.
About the Role Hybrid in DC - On-site Monday-Thursday, remote on Fridays
3-4 months temporary
Paying $40/hr-$45/hr based on experience.
