We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Communications Consultant to join the Public Relations team at our Indianapolis Fairbanks location. The goal of Public Relations at IU Health is to inspire trust in and increase awareness of the highly-skilled, compassionate healthcare provided by IU Health and Riley Children's Health. Responsible for public relations activities related to government affairs, business and finance, innovation, and healthcare leadership with business and industry media outlets. Assists in the planning and overall direction of Corporate Communications. Supports operations and management of communications functions through ongoing research, analysis, development and implementation of methods and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. Designs, develops, and delivers strategic communications programs that align with IU Health's business priorities. Guides leadership team decision making on strategic communications across the organization; dually serves as coach/mentor for communications teams across the system to strengthen their capabilities in supporting local and regional executives and administrators. Resolves issues and addresses customer concerns. Designs and implements complex change management and communications plans and approaches that enhance the IU Health brand among internal stakeholders. Maintains ongoing knowledge of current events, corporate communications trends, and best practices to ensure IU Health's internal comms channels remain innovative and effective. Adapts communications strategies to reflect industry changes and improve engagement with internal stakeholders. Drives communications programs that prioritize end-user team member experience to support recruitment and retention of highly skilled team members. Oversees communications team members and their work, establishes/assigns responsibility and projects. At IU Health, your personal and professional growth is a top priority. Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred. Requires 6-8 years of relevant experience. Requires mastery of MS Office 365 suite of tools. Requires proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite of tools. Requires proficiency in content management systems, social media tools and internal publishing platforms. Requires proficiency in project management tools and techniques. Experience in an informal or formal leadership role preferred. Experience leading complex change and managing complex projects preferred.
