AWS's Intelligent Application Protection team is an agile and collaborative team of technologists with diverse backgrounds. We combine the culture of a startup, the innovation and creativity of an R&D lab, the work-life balance of a mature organization, and AWS-scale technical challenges. We own critical cloud security services used by all AWS customers to protect themselves and their customers. Our critical portfolio of services includes AWS WAF, Shield, Firewall Manager, and Network Firewall, and more. AWS Intelligent Application Protection organization is working to find new and existing avenues to protect our customers from cyber attacks. IAP's product portfolio is working on the integration of AI/GenAI to provide the next generation of experiences for customers, predictively recommending solutions and proactively solving customer problems.
The AWS IAP UX Design and Research team is looking for a highly experienced and motivated mixed-methods UX Designer who enjoys thinking outside of the box and working directly with customers.
Key job responsibilities:
Lead the design of useful, usable, and desirable products in a team environment. Work with leadership in design planning and goal creation.
Understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback.
Use business requirements to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements.
Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of services and experiences.
Develop personas, customer journey maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.
Facilitate the design process, present and iterate design solutions.
Craft, pitch, and validate long-term design strategies.
Continually iterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from our customers.
Chart a course for yourself and others in ambiguous situations. Mentor and develop designers within your own organization and beyond.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
