Responsibilities

As an SEO Content Writer, you will be responsible for researching and writing marketing and communication materials, including content for blogs, websites, emails, social media posts, press releases, and print materials. You will need to:

  • Conduct keyword and topic research to create relevant, informative, and SEO-optimized content
  • Craft content using existing SEO guidelines/templates to increase web traffic
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
  • Coordinate with Designer to illustrate articles
  • Generate ideas for new content types
  • Brainstorm content promotion strategies
  • Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to optimize content for conversion and engagement
  • Stay up-to-date with industry-related topics
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
  • Proofread, proofread, and proofread some more

What we’re looking for

  • Ability to commute to the San Diego office twice a week
  • Passion for health, wellness, and technology
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; previous background in English, advertising, communications, or journalism is a plus
  • Experience with digital marketing, Google digital tools, social media marketing, and other marketing principles
  • Ability to work independently and uphold exceptionally high standards for writing
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure
  • Flexible self-starter who is willing to learn, adjust, and adapt; open to feedback and guidance
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to manage deliverable timelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
