Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time position: Graphic Designer in the Department of University Marketing & Communication.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Design high-quality, unique, and compelling digital and print materials with attention to detail and the requirements of the creative brief.
2. Adhere to basic graphic design principles as well as the graphic design and brand standards for the University.
3. Operate within the established project processes, meeting deadlines and following procedures.
4. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively to execute projects from concept to completion.

Salary: SC State Pay Band 04

Job Requirements

• Experience:

  At least two years of graphic design experience. Familiarity with typography, color theory, composition, and basic design principles.

  The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio, a passion for design, and the ability to work as a team player to bring creative concepts to life.

• Job Description:

  Employee must have extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and graphic design techniques and procedures; ability to perform creatively within tight deadlines; excellent organizational skills; must communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and colleagues. Must effectively work within and enhance an established brand. Experience with motion graphics, video editing, photography, and HTML/CSS is a plus.

• Education Required:

  Required: Bachelor’s Degree.

  Preferred: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, visual arts and experience in a graphics-related field.
